Using Cell Salt Minerals

Or the ‘Biochemic Method’ of Schuessler

Cell salts can be taken by anyone under any condition. They are nontoxic with many pregnant and nursing women using them with success.

An analysis of blood shows it to contain organic and inorganic matter. Sugar, fat and albuminous or egg-white-like proteins are the organic. The inorganic parts of blood are water and certain minerals. These minerals are called cell salts. Water constitutes over 70% of this ‘water’ and cell salts make up about 20%. Organic matter makes up the rest.

The body has minerals for every day use and storage for emergency situations. Cell salts are the workers of the body. Deficiencies of one of these ‘workers’ can create abnormal conditions in the body. When the storage is depleted, the cell salt symptoms will become prominent, especially in the face. Digestion today is not as efficient as in the past due to drugs and fast foods. It makes more sense to replace the cell salts missing in the body, based on the person’s symptoms instead of putting more toxic substances in the system.

Cell salts, by their preparation, are reduced to a size small enough to be easily assimilated into the cellular structure of the body. These salts are available over-the-counter at various health food stores.

Ways to take Cell Salts:

Dry: Tap 2-4 pellets into the cap and drop them into the mouth
Children like this method because the sweetness of the pellet is due to lactose (milk sugar) base

Wet: Put the pellets into a bottle of distilled water or filtered water (8 or so ounces) Consume throughout the day. Another water source and it infuses the body with the cell salts throughout the day.

Frequency of Dosage:

Take 2-4 pellets three times a day. In long-term conditions, continue for 2-3 months.
Some say in acute cases, such as fevers, 5-30 pellets three times a day.

Handling Cell Salts

Types of Delivery Methods:

  • Liquid: Place number of drops indicated on bottle under the tongue and retain for at least 30 seconds. Try not to touch the dropper to the tongue or mouth.
  • Pellets: Place 2-4 pellets into cap of bottle and place under tongue without touching the pellets. Let dissolve or place the pellets in a water bottle and drink throughout the day.
  • Topical Application: Crush between two spoons and place these cell salts directly on the skin. Another topical application is to crush the cell salts (10) pellets and put into a neutral based (non-medicated or non-perfumed cram or lotion) This method is a slower yet more long-lasting application.

Rules:

Do not brush teeth, eat or drink anything except water for at least 10 minutes before or after taking the salts. No peppermint, gum or garlic at least 30 minutes before remedy

Keep all cell salt remedies out of sunlight, away from electrical appliances including the microwave, computer or television set. Do not store around strong odors, such as essential oils. Cell salts do not need to be refrigerated.

Caffeine will antidote cell salts but decaffeinated coffee does not appear to antidote the remedy.

Do not put cell salts in your luggage unless they are in a lead-lined photo envelope. Always take the salts to the attendant and ask for them not to be x-rayed. Passenger walk-through units are not harmful to the remedies.

Potency:

Cell salts come in different potencies. The most common is a 6X and are generally found in health food stores and over the counter. You may find cell salts in a 3X or a 12X as well.

David Card in Facial Diagnosis of Cell Salt Deficiencies recommends having all 12 cell salts on hand for the many different conditions that will arise even within your own family. They have a shelf life well beyond the date on the bottle unless stored improperly.
