"In my nutritional practice, before the introduction of the SCIO, I suggested the use of synthetic vitamins from professional sources and the use of Standard Process Whole Food supplementation. When my clients came for stress reduction on the SCIO, I noticed that only those on Standard Process were showing high level healing. I gave away all vitamins except Standard Process and have never been disappointed in my results since.” ~ Caroline S Walrad, Ph.D, CN

The combination of high carbohydrate with low protein caused the greatest increase in insulin production- more than carbohydrate itself.

Dietary fat in and of itself cannot cause problems with cholesterol unless you eat carbohydrates with the fat.

Anthropologists can tell whether the skull they are examining was that of a hunter-gatherer (protein eater) or a farmer (mainly carbohydrate eater). The well-formed, strong bones and teeth belong to the tall hunters. The farmers have signs of stunted growth and tooth decay.

One hundred years ago, heart attacks were practically unheard of in the U.S. The first recorded case of atherosclerosis was in 1920; the first reported heart attack was in 1912. Alzheimer’s disease did not exist. One person in 100,000 had diabetes, and in Europe, cancer caused 3.4% of all deaths. Now about two-thirds of Americans develop atherosclerosis;, 50% die of cardiovascular disease. Alzheimer’s is the fourth leading cause of death. One in 20 has some form of diabetes. One in four (28%) develops cancer.

One hundred years ago, people ate fresh, whole foods including plenty of meat, butter and lard. But they did not ordinarily eat any refined, processed, or chemicalized foods, did not eat nay refined and altered oils or fats. All these are now commonly consumed.

A living vitamin complex cannot be taken apart and re-assembled and work the way it did before. In fact, it won’t work at all, yet this is exactly what has been done to produce chemically-pure fractionated vitamins. Once the vitamin complex has been separated into its components and is dead and inert, it is then that the “scientific method" takes it and develops trials or experiments with it.”  ~ Going Back To Basics by Mary Frost, M.A.

There seems to be a magic in finding the correct constitutional remedy for someone. I have found in my experience that they will begin to eat whole nourishing food, sleep better, decide not to choose to drink or eat harmful products and they will do this without any other intervention.” ~ Caroline S Walrad, Ph.D, CN
